Hi there. I’m Dilara, an architectural designer.

I recently received Master of Architecture II from Yale School of Architecture.

Before this, I received my Bachelor of Architecture from Istanbul Technical University where I got to aspend two exchange semesters in University of Seoul, South Korea and ITECH-University of Stuttgart, Germany through various grants.

The Diary of the City is a design research on the hard and soft infrastructure of Hong Kong.

Wait For Me!is a group project with Sally Chen exploring new ways of gathering and engagement with water in Benin, West Africa.

Climate Caravan
is a group project with Paul Meuserfocusing on climate change and changing housing standarts.

Give & Take was a collabration for a two week-long installation with Clare Fentress and Katie Colford transforming an academic gallery into a room for giving and receiving gifts.

Retrospecta 45
is the annual journal of student work at the Yale School of Architecture. The issue for 2021-2022 academic year put together with Annika Babra, Julie Chan and Tarini Gandhi.

Tale of Sensesis my undergraduate thesis focusing on the deciphering the house as a ecology of extensions.

Polykatoikia Comedy
is an award-winning project aiming to reevaluate the polykatoikia blocks in Athens to recall the Mediterrean life of the city.

Tree Houses
is a residential project in Seoul addressing the needs of the single moms and the children within the society and utilize the unbuilt FAR on parcel as an oppurtunity.

Open Play is a construction drawings project for a kindergarten project in Istanbul.

Damascus Scene is a written research on Damascus pilgrims and elites after the Ottoman conquest in 1516.

Bio-fiber Pavillion was a year-long design project using fully bio-fiber and bio-resin for all structural needs undertaken at ITECH as a group project.
